    Also known as goldenrain tree, pride of India, and China tree. Perennial in USDA zones 5-8.


    Habit/Size up to 35 feet tall
    Germination Scarify seed coat then direct sow in fall or stratify (cold/moist) for 90 days. Sow 3/8 in. deep. Germination is variable and can take years to occur.
    Requirements Tolerant of most soil types and pH levels and can grow in highly alkaline soils. Requires full sun. Medium water needs. Can grow in poor soils and will tolerare pollution.
